5.15 Wind marker
A wind marker can be selected in the menu for COSMETICS (see
chapter 5.17). The marker which can be used to indicate the wind
or current direction, has to be adjusted manually.

5.16 External synchronizing
In order to eliminate interference from other equipment on board,
the sonar’s trigger pulse can be synchronized with the other
equipment’s trigger pulse. The external trigger pulse must then
be connected to the sonar.
EXT.SYNC...:
*OFF
ON
This menu is used to switch the synchronizing input ON/OFF. If
switched ON, the sonar will wait for a trigger pulse before
starting a new transmission. This wait state has a timeout of five
seconds, whereafter the sonar will start a new transmission.
When using external synchronizing, the sonar’s ping rate will be
reduced.
