Markers
This menu shows position data (distance, bearing and depth) for
the markers in the sonar picture. Positioning of markers is
described in chapter 1.2.(3) “Display oriented push buttons”.

A maximum of eight markers can be positioned at one time. If this
number is exceeded, the marker first selected will be replaced by
the one last selected. ”C” on the bottom line shows the position
data of the moveable marker cross. If automatic tracking is used,
a ”T” will show the position data for the tracking circle.
As the numbered markers are locked geographically they may
move outside the screen. The computer keeps track of all markers
inside a radius of 60 kilometers. Outside this radius the position
data will be replaced by a row of x’es.
To present the bearing line to a selected marker, move the menu
cursor to the relevant marker. To erase a marker, move the menu
cursor to the relevant marker. Press ENTER and this submenu
will appear:

This is also intended as a ”regret function” if one by mistake has
pressed ENTER after selecting a bearing line.
