2.10 Omni/Echo sounder
This mode is also specially made for trawling, but in this mode
the trawl--locked vertical slice is replaced by an echo sounder
recording. This to ensure a more correct depth indication in
case the sonar beam is bent because of temperature layers.

In order to get the school presented in the echo sounder
recording, the vessel must here pass over the target.
Figure 9 also shows a typical pelagic trawling situation where
automatic tilting is selected. The dot in front of the school
shows the position of the school after 8 minutes, selected in the
MOVEMENT submenu.
The falling line in the echo sounder recording shows the sinking
of the trawl.
