2 MODES OF OPERATION

2.1

General

Great emphasis has been placed on giving the best possible

overview presentation of the echo situation of the water volume

around and under the vessel. The result is 9 different display

modes, which gives a flexible choice for a large range of user

applications.
The mode selection is made in the menu, and a detailed

description of each mode will be given in the following chapters.
In addition to the symbols shown in the following mode figures,

different ”cosmetics” can be added on the display. A description

of the different symbols and cosmetics will be given throughout

this chapter.
Note that the different mode figures shown in the following

chapters are common for several types of sonars. Details like

range, menu etc. may therefore not be correct.
