The system’s automatic components continuously monitor the
temperature difference between the solar collectors and the
calorifier and send the relative commands to ensure an unin-
terrupted supply of hot water based on the settings made on
the circuit.
The differential thermostat is electrically programmed to con-
trol the temperature differential and is equipped with interface
buttons and a display showing the parameters and the messag-
es. It also includes:
– a system for protecting the anti-freeze liquid in the closed
circuit;
– a system for protecting the closed circuit against overheating.
When the temperature of the solar collectors exceeds that of
the calorifier by 6–10°C, the solar system circulator activates
(start-up temperature differential). Th circulator interrupts its
operation when the temperature difference drops to 2°C (hys-
teresis). In case of inertia of the system, an operating command
can be issued to an auxiliary energy source (electrical or cen-
tral heating).
All the components required for making the connections are
included in the packaging.

mixtures.
With reference to the diagram shown below:
– The three-sensor TermoSolis solar control unit is used to ac-
tivate the pump that transfers energy from the solar collec-
tors to the calorifier, where it is transferred through the fixed
coil and, if necessary, to activate the automatic motor-con-
trolled valve that diverts the boiler’s flow from the heating
system to the coil for heating integration inside the calorifier.
– The control unit compares the temperature read by sensor
“S1” in the solar collector with the one read by sensor “S2”
in the bottom part of the calorifier.
– When the temperature of the collector is higher than that
in the calorifier, by a temperature difference settable on the
control unit, it sends a signal to the solar circuit pump so that
it can transfer the energy.
– When this does not occur, the electronic control unit does not
send the signal to the pump, otherwise the energy accumu-
lated in the calorifier would be transferred to the panel and
dispersed.
– In such case, the boiler – through sensor “SB” – intervenes to
guarantee the domestic hot water temperature.
