6.1
Disposal of the equipment (European
Directive 2012/19/EU)
At the end of their life span, the appliance and
electrical and electronic devices deriving from
professional facilities or classifiable as profes-
sional waste, must be delivered to appropriate
waste collection systems, in accordance with
the law and with Directive 2012/19/EU.
This product was designed and manufactured
for minimising its impact on the environment
and on human health, nonetheless it contains
components that could be detrimental if man-
aged improperly.
The symbol (crossed-out wheelie bin) depict-
ed here and also appearing on your product
indicates that the appliance at the end of its
life must be treated in accordance with the
law and disposed of as electrical and elec-
tronic waste.
Before delivering the appliance for its dis-
posal, consult the applicable provisions of the
laws in force in the country where the appli-
ance is used and obtain information on the
authorised waste collection facilities, by con-
tacting the local offices of the place where the
appliance is installed.
d
IT IS FORBIDDEN
to dispose of the product together with urban waste.
The system is mainly made up of the following components that
can be disposed of by separating the essential constituents:
SOLAR HEATING COLLECTOR
- metal parts (aluminium or stainless steel casing, copper absorb-
er plate, brass fittings)
- glass covering panel
- insulation (mineral wool sheet, expanded polyurethane free of
CFCs)
- rear closing sheet made of polypropylene (black) or PVC (white)
SOLAR CALORIFIER
- metal parts (calorifier body, magnesium anode, stainless sheet
shell)
- insulation (rigid expanded polyurethane free of CFCs)
- sky lining (only for vertical calorifiers)
SOLAR UNIT
- the pump has parts made of cast iron (pump body), copper (wind-
ings), steel (shaft) and reinforced resins (impeller)
- metal parts (steel and brass couplings)
- insulation (black EPP thermoformed material 40 g/l)
CONTROL UNIT
- plastic parts (the outer shell and the transparent cover)
- electronic parts
PIPING
- copper or stainless steel piping
- expanded elastomer insulation
The warranty is only valid when the following water quality
characteristics are satisfied:
– Saturation index (Langelier): LSI > 0.1
– Corrosivity index (C.I.): 0.5 < C.I. < 3
– Where C.I. =
c(CI) + c(NO
3
) - 2c(SO
4
-2
)
c(HCO
3
)
(HCO
3
)> = 2.0 mmol/l
In such case, the magnesium anode must be replaced every
year.
– When C.I. > 3, the warranty is limited to two years and the
magnesium anode must be replaced every six months.
– For stainless steel tanks: the warranty is valid if the water
used has a chlorine saturation value of maximum 200 mg/l
[c(CL-) < 200 mg/l].
– In areas in which the water has a saturation value of CaCO
3
ranging from 54 to 90 mg/l, we recommend using a water
softening device to prevent calcium carbonate and other cal-
cium deposits from forming. If the saturation value exceeds
90 mg/l CaCO
3
, this device is mandatory.
General terms and conditions:
1
The warranty takes effect from the date of installation and
initial start-up of the device.
2
The heating element and the thermostat are covered for a

The table of routine maintenance activities shown below
must be filled in and signed. Additional proof may be re-
quested (e.g. invoice of the works).
11
The warranty does not apply if the salinity of the water used
exceeds 500 ppm.
12
The validity period of the warranty will not be renewed if
any repairs are carried out within the period covered by the
warranty.
13
The warranty is limited to the cost for workmanship re-
quired for replacing and/or repairing the defective parts.
Loss or secondary damages are not covered.
