Before Use
Unpacking your petrol vacuum blower
• Ensure that all parts of your petrol blower are present and in good
condition. If any part is missing, or damaged, have such parts replaced
before attempting to use this tool.
Vacuum tubes
•
Attach the vacuum blower (1) tubes prior to usage using the screws and
bolts included.
NOTE: If the tubes are not correctly fitted to the unit it could result in a
severe loss in performance.
Vacuum bag
• Attach the vacuum bag (8) to the debris exhaust (7), use the self tapping
screws that are included.
Shoulder strap
• Attach the shoulder strap to the unit prior to use, adjust the strap so that
the unit falls comfortably around the waist.
NOTE: Do not use the unit without the shoulder strap.
Fuelling
• Always refuel in a safe place, well away from the work area, and any
source of heat or ignition. Avoid any contact with the fuel.
DO NOT SMOKE.
• Only add fuel when the engine is stopped, and has cooled fully.
• Fuel should always be pre mixed, do not mix fuel in the petrol tank. Only
mix as much fuel as you intend to use. Use 40 parts unleaded petrol to
every 1 part two stroke oil. Always use proper 2 stroke oil.
• Remove the fuel filler cap (11); fill the tank with fuel mixture to the level
of the filler hole.
• Replace the filler cap.
• Make sure that any fuel spillage is properly cleaned up.
• Move the petrol blower well away from the fuelling area before starting
engine.
• Keep extra fuel well away from the work area.
Starting the engine
WARNING:
This vacuum blower will produce toxic fumes as soon as
it is running. Never attempt to start the engine indoors, or in any kind of
enclosed space. Always wear proper safety protection, use of this tool
requires goggles, gloves, ear defenders, face mask, and sturdy clothing.
Wearing a hard hat, and safety boots, is also advisable.
Place the petrol blower onto the ground.

Slowly press and release the primer bulb 10 times, fuel should be visible
•
in the bulb. If no fuel is visible, continue to press the bulb until it does.
Set the choke lever (12) to the position (If the engine is already
•
warm, set the choke lever to the
position).
Move the throttle (4) into its fastest position which is indicated
•
Set the ignition switch (9) to the “I” position.
•
Press down on the front handle (2) to steady the vacuum blower. Grip the
•
recoil starter (10), and pull gently to remove slack.
Pull the starting handle firmly to start the engine. Do not wrap the starter
•
cord around your hand, always guide the cord back into the casing.
The engine should start after a few pulls.
•
Move the choke lever (12) to the position.
•
Allow the engine to warm up for approximately 20 to 30 seconds and
•
then move the chock into the
position
Stopping the engine
• Move the throttle into the slowest position
and allow the engine to
cool by idling.
• Press and hold the ignition switch down in the “O” position until the
engine has come to a complete stop.
Using Your Petrol Blower
Operating as a blower
• Ensure the selection lever (6) is in the vertical position; this changes the
unit to operate as a blower.
• The blower performs best at slower speed. If the debris cannot be moved
whilst the engine is operating at a low speed, it can be increased.
• Grip the blower by both handles (2&3) and point directly at the debris
being cleared.
• Sweep the unit gently from side to side to try and gather the debris into
one location.
• Ensure that the end of the unit is always at least 15cm above the surface.
NOTE: If performance seems to be restricted, you may need to remove the
vacuum bag.
Operating as a Vacuum
• Ensure the selection lever (6) is in the horizontal position; this changes
the unit to operate as a vacuum.
• The vacuum performs best at slower speed. If the debris cannot be
moved whilst the engine is operating at a low speed, it can be increased.
• Grip the vacuum by both handle (2&3) and point directly at the debris
being cleared.
• Sweep the unit gently from side to side to try and gather the debris.
• Ensure that the end of the unit is always at least 15cm above the surface.
NOTE: Ensure that the vacuum bag is securely attached to the unit.
WARNING:
Ensure that the selection lever is not halfway between. This
could cause severe damage to the unit and could invalidate the warranty
Maintenance
Always stop the engine, and allow to cool fully, before performing any
cleaning / maintenance.
Spark plug
• The spark plug should be checked regularly.
• Remove the spark plug using the spanner supplied.
• The electrode gap should be set to 0.5mm.
• If the plug appears to be fouled, or burnt, the engine is not running
properly. Check for correct fuel mixture, and proper engine adjustment.
• If the electrode is heavily pitted, or eroded, replace the spark plug with a
new one of the same type.
• Always tighten spark plug properly before use.
Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal
parts to wear quickly, and shorten the machine’s service life.
• Clean the body of your machine with a cloth and detergent.
• The fuel tank contains a filter that should be regularly cleaned with fresh
petrol.
• The air filter should be removed and cleaned regularly. The air filter
element should be cleaned using household detergent, dried, and re-oiled
with regular machine oil. Reassemble before using the brush cutter.
Storage
• Allow the vacuum blower to cool fully before preparing for storage.
• Drain out all fuel and oil.
• If the vacuum blower is to be stored for an extended period, wipe over
all metal surfaces with an oiled cloth. Remove the spark plug, and pour
a small amount of oil into the cylinder. Replace spark plug, and pull the
starting handle to distribute oil.
• Store the vacuum blower in a clean, dry, place away from heat and direct
sunlight. Ensure that the vacuum blower is stored where children cannot
get access to it.
