Card reader (SD/MMC)
The device can process SD/MMC memory cards with capacities of up to 2 GB,
and SDHC memory cards up to 32 GB. The directory structure may contain a
maximum of 1024 folders, 4096 fi les and a directory depth of 8 levels.
Connecting data media
WARNING

The control panel must be removed and attached again in order to insert or
remove a memory card. Only carry out this task if the car is stationary and
parked.

Remove the control panel and slide a memory card into the memory card
slot

with the label facing upwards.

After this, reattach the control panel (see also chapter "Attaching the control
panel"). Playback of the MP3 or WMA tracks on the memory card begins
automatically.
Playback and search functions
■
The operations for playing fi les on the external data medium as well as the
search function are exactly the same as with MP3 CDs.

Recording function

You can use your device to record fi les from audio CDs, radio or external audio
devices onto USB or SD/MMC data media and copy MP3 and/or WMA fi les
from an MP3 CD onto USB or SD/MMC data media.
The fi les are stored under the following names:

Tracks from audio CDs: Track_001, Track_002, ...
■
Files from MP3 CDs: Copy_001, Copy_002, ...
■
Radio recordings: Tuner_001, Tuner_002, ...
■
Tracks via AUX: AUX_001, AUX_002, ...
Recordings have a bit rate of 128 kbps and a sampling frequency of 44 kHz.
