MP3 CD functions
Playback
■ The device can play back fi les in the MP3 and WMA formats.
■ A mixture of tracks and directories on the same level can cause problems
when playing back.
■ During playback, the information from the MP3 fi le ID3 tag is read and
shown on the display.
Skip directory
♦ Press the

to skip to the next directory or the
5/FL-
button

to jump back to the previous directory. The track number and the name of
the directory will appear briefl y on the display

, after which playback
begins automatically.
NOTE
► If the fi les are located in the CD's main directory, the directory name
ROOT
will be shown on the display.
Search functions
Track number search
♦ Press the
A/PS
button

* appears on the display.
♦ Turn the multi-controller 3 or press the numbers on the device to set the
desired track number.
♦ Press the
BD/ENT
button

or wait 3 seconds to start playback of the set
track.
NOTE
► If a track number is selected that does not exist, the track with the highest
track number will be played back.
Track name search
♦ Press the
A/PS
button twice. A * appears on the display.
♦ Turn the multi-controller until the desired letter appears.
♦ Press the
SEL
button

to confi rm the letter and to switch to the second
letter of the track name. Up to 16 letters/characters can be entered in this
way.
♦ When you have selected the desired letters, press the
BD/ENT
button to
show all tracks that begin with the letters entered.
