Breaker Data Adapter

 9.4.1

Verwendung

Der Breaker Data Adapter (BDA) ermöglicht es, den Leistungs-
schalter ohne Zusatzsoftware mit einem browserfähigen Ein-/Aus-
gabegerät (z. B. Notebook) zu parametrieren, zu bedienen und zu 
beobachten. Diese Möglichkeit besteht für Leistungsschalter mit 
einem elektronischen Überstromauslöser der Typen ETU745 - 776. 
Für die Überstromauslöser ETU745 und ETU748 ist es jedoch nicht 
möglich, die Grundschutzfunktionen zu parametrieren. Diese wer-
den ausschließlich mit den Drehkodierschaltern eingestellt.

Die Kommunikation mit der Elektronik des Leistungsschalters 
erfolgt über den

. Dazu kann der BDA wahlweise an die 

Prüfbuchse des Überstromauslösers oder für einen längerfristigen 
stationären Betrieb an das letzte 

c

- Modul angeschlos-

sen und auf eine 35 mm-Hutschiene aufgeschnappt werden. Die 
erforderlichen Verbindungskabel werden mitgeliefert.

Der BDA steht in zwei Ausführungen zur Verfügung. Der BDA 

PLUS

 

besitzt im Unterschied zur Standardausführung zusätzlich einen 
Ethernetanschluss.

 9.4.1

Application

The Breaker Data Adapter (BDA) makes it possible to parameterize, 
operate and observe the circuit breaker without additional software 
by means of an input/output unit with browser features (e.g. a note-
book). This is possible for circuit breakers equipped with trip units of 
the types ETU745 - 776. On the trip unit ETU745 and ETU748 , 
however, the basic protective functions cannot be parameterized. 
These are exclusively adjusted with the rotary coding switches.

 

Communications with the electronic system of the circuit breaker 
takes place through the 

c

. For this purpose, the BDA can 

be optionally connected to the test socket of the trip unit, or - in case 
of  longer stationary operation - to the last 

c

-module, and 

snapped on a 35-mm DIN rail. The required connection cables are 
supplied with the unit.

Two BDA versions are available. Unlike the standard version, the 
BDA PLUS is equipped with an additional Ethernet connection.
