Pre-screening MR workers and
patients
A.1
To lower the risks during exposure to the magnetic field, all
patients as well as MR workers have to accomplish a pre-screen-
ing to avoid accidents and to establish safety measures. There-
fore a pre-screening program shall be established by the opera-
tor, which helps the user to identify the patients and MR workers
at risk. This especially applies to patients and MR workers who
are at risk due to their professional activities, medical history
and medical state as well as the influence of the MR equipment,
such as:

- with implants or with permanent make-up
- with imbedded metal fragments from military activi-
ties
- who are pregnant

Patients:
- with typical contraindications (
