A.5 Setup Procedure for Wet-Flow Calibration

4. Proceed to the [Install Sensor] menu and select the same sensor, mounting mode and
spacing offset that was selected for the water calibration.
5. Re-space the sensors to the index position indicated by the flow meter.
6. Scroll to the [Install Complete] menu cell and select [Transfer Install] from the option list.
Note
If [Transfer Install] does not appear in the option list then either the Estimated Vs or the
sensor size was improperly entered. In this case, recall the water calibration site and start
the procedure again at Step 1 above.
7. For Multi-Path systems repeat Step 6 above for the remaining paths.
8. The flow meter should now be operational at the new spacing location.
Note
Depending on the size of the pipeline, the change in the estimated sonic velocity (Vs) and
the repositioning of sensors, the flow meter may not operate out of Fault even if the spool
or pipe is filled with liquid. This can be expected when performing a Transfer Install for
liquefied gases or for clamp-on natural gas flow meters.
Saving New Transfer Install Site
1. To save the Transfer Installed site, scroll to the [Channel Setup] menu and press the
<Right Arrow>. Press the <Right Arrow> again to select the [Save/Rename] menu cell.
2. Use the numeric keys to rename the Transfer Installed site with the same site name used
above, but with a "T" appended to the end of the site name (e.g., 3CS40T).
3. Press <ENTER> to store data.
