Heating shutdown in case of malfunction
10.1
General information
The probe temperature is monitored by an additional electronic system (Part No. 2105158)
with two thermoelements. The electronics are designed to be fail-safe (redundant). It auto-
matically switches off the probe heating when the operating temperature of the probe is
exceeded. The switch-off temperature is 810 °C. In addition, the heating is switched off in
the event of a fault in one of the thermoelements. The electronics go into self-holding
mode, which means that if a fault occurs, the electronics must be reset.
The error-free operating status is indicated by two green LEDs (
). The error case is indicated by three red LEDs.
In case of an error, the device must be reset manually. The position of the Reset button is
shown in the Figure,
see “Display and operating elements”, page 69
The reset can also be initiated by switching the power supply off and on again for at least
5 seconds.
