Set the minimum segment length to highlight only the contours, no noise 

present. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

High min. segment length 
When minimum segment 

length was set to 70, the 

result of the image shows 

incomplete highlighted 

edges. We must reduce 

the segment length value 

to attain the desired edge 

result. 

Optimal 

The image result shows 

filtered pixels with 

favorable edge detection.

The image result using low

values, shows unfavorable

If your image result appears 
similar as this sample, where all 
edges are highlighted, then there 
is no need to adjust the settings. 

If your image result appears 
with incomplete or edges that 
are not highlighted, then you will
