Internal Peripherals Connectors
Enhanced IDE and Floppy Connectors
The mainboard features two 40-pin dual-channel IDE device connectors
(IDE1/IDE2) providing support for up to four IDE devices, such as CD-ROM
and Hard Disk Drives (H.D.D.).
This mainboard also includes one 34-pin floppy disk controller (FDC) to
accommodate the Floppy Disk Drive (FDD). Moreover, this mainboard
comes with one 80-pin ATA 100/66/33 ribbon cable to connect to IDE
H.D.D. and one 34-pin ribbon cable for F.D.D. connection.
Serial ATA Connector
The Serial ATA is an evolutionary replacement for the Parallel ATA physical
storage interface. Serial ATA is scalable and will allow future enhancements
to the computing platform. The Serial ATA supports all ATA and ATAPI
device, including CDs, DVDs, tapes devices, high capacity removable
devices, zip drivers, and CDRW's.
The Serial ATA interface supports data transfer
rates up to 150MB/s.
