<Lapping Operation with Lapping Machine>
•œ
Always stop the engine and disengage the
main and reel blade clutches before lapping.
•œ
When using the lapping machine and turning
the reel blade do not allow your hand, or
foot, or any part of your clothing, near the
cutting range.
•œ
Apply abrasive to the reel blade with a brush,
not your fingers.
•œ
For lapping, always use our specified abrasive;
Lapping Compound #180 to #220 or a lapping
carbon with the same numbers.
•œ
For the location of the reel blade with blunted
edge, never apply abrasive.
IMPORTANT
•œ
For lapping, prepare 50 mm wide strips of newspaper
and the lapping compound or lapping carbon mixed with
oil or a neutral detergent as abrasive.
•œ
The mixing ratio is based on volume.
Lapping Carbon 1: Oil (neutral detergent) 3 to 4

Bring the mower body down on to level ground and set
the stand on the ground so that the machine cannot move.

Pull the reel blade cap to this side to detach.
•œ
When the reel blade cap has been detached, the heads
of the bolts to be used to connect the lapping machine
can be seen.

Place the lapping machine on level ground and make
sure of the rotation range of the lapping machine.

Set the stand attached to the lapping machine and hold
the stopper. Set the height of the V-shaped section so
that the rotation range of the lapping machine lies within
the section.

Set the stands on the left and right of the front roller
(two locations)

Tilt the lawn mower backward and put the front roller in
the V-shaped section of the stand. Align the lapping
machine rotation axle with the center of the reel blade
axle and connect them securely.
