Mowing Height Adjustment
Always stop the engine and disengage the
main clutch and reel blade clutch before
adjusting the mowing height.
To cut the lawn evenly at the necessary height, adjust the height of the front roller. Adjust both the
cutting height and also the working roller height to the lawn at the same time, and make a test cut of
the lawn. Then, on the basis of the result, re-adjust.
Here we describe how to adjust the cutting height of the lawn to be 5mm from the ground and the
working roller height to 4mm.
Set the two screws on the cutting height gauge so that
they face each other, as shown in the right-hand figure.
Loosen the butterfly nut of the screw close to the center
of the mowing height gauge (separately purchased) and
measure the distance between the bottom of the screw
head and gauge (under the screw neck). Adjust so that
the distance is 5mm. Then fasten the butterfly nut to fix
the screw.
This distance will be the mowing height.
Loosen the nut on the front roller height adjusting knob
(left and right).
Adjustment
WARNING
Loosen the butterfly nut on the other screw and adjust
the end of the screw so that the projection is 4 mm when
measured with a scale. Then fasten the butterfly nut to
fix the screw.
This then becomes the distance between the working
roller and the ground.
Place the machine on level ground and tilt it backwards.
Then ground the stand and keep a pressure on the
handle so that the machine does not move.
