Inspection/maintenance
Inspection/maintenance work EDR..71 – 315, EDRN63 – 315 brakemotors
Operating Instructions – EDR..71 – 315, EDRN63 – 315
160
– Loosen cap screws [15] and remove the flange [7] together with the rotor [1].
Push or pull the rotor [1] and take the flange [7] along evenly.
– Loosen hex head screws [609] and remove the flange [7] from the rotor [1].
– Before disassembly, preferably protect the oil seal seat from damage using
adhesive tape or a protective sleeve.
6. Pull the stator back by approx. 3 to 4 cm.
7. Visual inspection: Is there any moisture or gear unit oil inside the stator?
•
If not, proceed with step 10.
•
If there is moisture, proceed with step 9.
•
If there is gear oil, have the motor repaired by a specialist workshop.
8. If there is moisture inside the stator:
•
With gearmotors: Remove the motor from the gear unit
•
With motors without a gear unit: Remove the A-flange
•
Remove the rotor [1]
•
Clean the winding, dry it and check it electrically, see chapter
34).
9. Remove retaining ring [62]. Preheat the driver [70] and remove it using suitable
tools. Remove key [71].
10. Replace the rolling bearing [11], [44] with permitted rolling bearing types, see
chapter "Permitted rolling bearings" (→
205).
Push or pull the inner ring of the bearings.
11. Install key [71] and driver [70]:
•
Preheat the driver to allow for easier installation (joining tempe85 °C to
+115 °C).
•
EDR..71, EDRN63 – 71 motors:
Clean the driver seat at the rotor [1] before in-
stallation. Glue in the driver using Loctite 649. Join the retaining ring [62] flush
to the driver. Protect the sealing surface for the oil seal from scratches.
•
EDR..80 – 315, EDRN80 – 315 motors
: Clean the driver at the rotor [1] and
coat with anti-corrosion agent NOCO
®
fluid before fitting. Next mount the retain-
ing ring [62].
12. Seal the stator again and install it:
•
EDR..71 – 132, EDRN63 – 132S motors
: Replace gasket [392]
•
EDR..160 – 225, EDRN63, EDRN132M – 225 motors:
Replace O-ring [390].
•
EDR..160 – 315, EDRN132M – 315 motors
: Seal the sealing surfaces with
duroplastic sealing compound (operating temperature -40 °C to +180 °C), such
as "SEW‑L‑Spezial".
13.
EDR..250 – 280, EDRN225 – 280 motors
with
/ERF or /NS option, or with
EDR../
EDRN315 motors
•
Fill the rolling bearing with grease until it is two-thirds full, see chapter
139).
•
Notice: Place the oil seal flange [608], [21] onto the rotor shaft before installing
the bearings.
•
Mount the motor vertically starting on the A‑side.
•
Place the springs [105] and lubrication ring [604] into the bearing bore of the
flange [7].
