Using the EM 9046
“Firmware” – Displaying the hardware versions/firmware
versions and updating the firmware
If you update the EM 9046 receiver’s firmware using the WSM software,
the current firmware versions of the 9000 series boosters and transmit-
ters are also stored on the receiver.
Via the “
Firmware
” menu item, you can display the firmware versions of
the receiver, the boosters and the transmitters and update the firmware
of the boosters and the transmitters.
The currently installed firmware version of the EM 9046 is displayed in the
menu selection (see above).
The currently installed firmware version and the installable firmware
(“
Update to Firmware
”) of connected boosters/transmitters are displayed
in the “
Antenna Booster
” area of the main screen.
To update the firmware of the boosters:

Using the jog dial, select the “
Antenna Booster
” area of the main screen.
The “
Antenna Booster
” area is highlighted in blue.

Press the jog dial.
The firmware is updated. The update process can take up to 40 seconds.
Do not interrupt the infra-red transmission during the update process.
To read out and, if necessary, update the firmware of your transmitters:

Make sure the accupacks of your transmitters are fully charged.

Using the jog dial, select the “
Transmitter
” area of the main screen.
The “
Transmitter
” area is highlighted in blue.
