Configuration
The Configuration page includes the options to change the device name and HTTP authentication settings,
as well as enable or disable firmware update-related features.
The device name is reflected in the NetBIOS and mDNS name mentioned in the first-time setup process.
Changing this setting requires a device restart.
Change the HTTP Authentication settings to change the username and password required to access the
internal web pages.
The Firmware Update settings allow for the local device (the wireless adapter) and Modbus-connected
SeaI/O slave device firmware update features to be enabled/disabled. Both features are disabled by default
for security. To allow updating of the local device (the wireless adapter itself), check the “Enable firmware
update of device” checkbox and click Apply. Note that the Firmware Update panel on the Device page will
be sh
own or hidden to reflect the value of the “Enable firmware update of device” setting. The “
Enable
firmware upd
ate of slave devices via MaxSSD” setting allows the wireless adapter to pass along firmware
updates to any SeaI/O slave device connected via RS485 to the base/master SeaI/O device when using
MaxSSD. Any change to the Firmware Update settings take effect immediately after clicking the Apply
button; no restart is required.
