Connecting grounding wires

5.14.3

Connect grounding wires as shown.

1.  Crimped cable lug with eyelet for connecting the wires
2.  Screw
3.  Washers
4.  Contact washer
5.  Spring washer
6.  Sticker for marking grounding

If there is no thread, use a self-locking hexagonal nut on the
other side.

Resistance measurement

5.14.4

Measure the total resistance once the installation is complete. The resistance between the measuring
points must not be higher than 10 ohm (the Schmalz definition of "low-resistance").
If the resistance is higher, check all the grounding connections.

1. From the (stainless-steel) suction cup to the customer's equipotential bonding connection
2. From the tip of the crane jib to the customer's equipotential bonding connection

All other attachment parts that are not located between the measuring points specified
above also require a low resistance connection with equipotential bonding.
Take measurements to verify the resistance where necessary.
