External Span Adjustment with Stored Weight
– Activate the service mode (see page 11).
– Press
q
and then press
v
to select the “
user ext.adj.
” menu item.
– Tare the balance, if necessary, and then press
q
to start external span
adjustment.
– Center the prompted calibration weight on the weighing pan.
Note:
Depending on the menu code setting (under 1 10 X), either calibration/ad-
justment is made automatically (code 1 10 1: calibrate, then auto-adjust), or
the deviation from the last calibration is displayed, but no adjustment is
made until you press a key (code 1 10 2: calibrate, then manual adjust).
– If the error exceeds the tolerance limits, press
q
to make the correspond-
ing adjustment, or press
c
to cancel the adjustment procedure.
– The balance then returns to the SELECT mode.
Overwriting the Internal Calibration Weight
Note:
As a rule, this procedure is only necessary after the balance has been opened
for service/repair work.
– Activate the service mode (see page 11).
– Perform external span adjustment (make sure you use a precise weight).
– Press
v
(several times) to select the “
det. int. wt.
” menu item.
– Tare the balance, if necessary, and press
q
to overwrite the calibration
weight.
– The built-in calibration weight is applied automatically, measured and writ-
ten to the EEPROM in the balance processor.
– Press
c
if you need to cancel this routine.
– The balance then returns to the SELECT mode.
Calibration with a User-defined Weight
You can define any weight as the calibration weight.
Activate the INPUT mode to enter the weight value and then store it under the
“
cal./adj. wt.
” menu item.
– Activate the service mode (see page 11).
– Perform external or internal span adjustment.
– Press
v
to select the “
det. ext. wt.
” menu item.
– Tare the balance if necessary, and then press
q
to start the calibration
routine.
– The last calibration weight that was entered in the INPUT mode is dis-
played.
– Center the calibration weight you wish to define on the weighing pan.
– The weight value is displayed and stored.
– The balance returns to the SELECT mode.
