Activating the Service Mode
The LP balances are equipped with a service mode that enables expanded
calibration/adjustment functions. With these expanded functions, you do not
need to use the PSION Server or SARTOCAS Service Program for PCs to cali-
brate/adjust the balance.
The service mode only remains active until:
1. you press
M
to exit the menu, or
2.
c
is pressed when the “Service CAL Selection” menu is displayed (see
the overview on page 9).
The weighing mode is active (

– Enter the service password:

– The SETUP menu is displayed and an “S” is shown in the lower left corner.
– The service mode is now active.

to exit the SETUP menu; press

to activate the calibration/

Calibration/Adjustment in the Service Mode
Adjustment options in the service mode:

* – Span adjustment with internal weight

– External linearization with default weight

– External linearization (enter weight value in the IN-
PUT mode)

* – Reproducibility test of the internal adjustment

– Determine and store the external weight (user-defined
weight)

– 10-fold increased display resolution; SuperRange

Note:
In most cases it is not necessary to use service software programs (PSION or
Sartocas) to adjust the LP balances, because all necessary adjustment func-
tions are accessible when the balance is in the service mode.
You only need to use the adjustment software if the current adjustment error is
greater than 2% or if multiple adjustment steps are necessary due to unfavor-
able ambient conditions.
