Setting the rAid mode
1.
Click the <
use
> or <
Setup
> button.

In the RAID setup window, select the Disk Array setup items and click the <
oK
> button.
•
Use : You can select whether or not to use the RAID mode.
•
Level5 : The RAID types supported by NVR are displayed. This NVR supports RAID Level 5 only.
•
Hot Standby : You can select whether or not to enable the Hot Standby function.

Hot Standby is the function used to order immediate recovery for a designated HDD when a failure occurs, minimizing the loss of
data caused by delay in recovery.

A list of HDDs available for an RAID Array is displayed. Click <
oK
> on the RAID screen.

The data deletion and system rebooting message window appears. If you click <
oK
>, the system is
rebooted to set up the RAID mode.

If RAID building is completed, select <
Setup
> - <
Storage device
> - <
device
> - <
rAid
> to check the
build.

If RAID mode is enabled, the recording speed is reduced from 100Mbps to 64Mbps.

In the RAID mode, the available capacity of a RAID array is (the capacity of the smallest HDD) x (total number of HDDs -1).
If Hot Standby is enabled, the available capacity is (the capacity of the smallest HDD) x (total number of HDDs -2)

If the capacity varies between HDDs, the RAID Array is built on the HDD with the smallest capacity.

When building the RAID, using the Hot Standby mode is recommended.

If there is a problem with the HDD, the booting time can be longer than usual.

If you enable or disable the RAID mode, the existing data will be deleted.
Please back up the data if you want to store the previous data.
