Options During a Call
98
Transfer
: (shown when you have an active call and a
call on hold) allows you to transfer the current call to the
call on hold so that the callers can talk to each other and
you are disconnected from both of them.
Mute
: switches your PDA phone’s microphone off so that
the other person on the phone cannot hear you. The
Mute on call mode indicator (
)
appears on the top of
the screen.
Unmute
: switches the microphone on.
Key mute
: turns the key tones off. When this option is
selected, your PDA phone does not send the DTMF (Dual
Tone Multi-Frequency) tones of the buttons. It allows
you to press keys without hearing annoying key tones
during a call. The Key Mute mode indicator (
)
appears on the top of the screen.
Key unmute
: turns the key tones on. To communicate
with answering machines or computerised telephone
systems, this option must be selected.
Phonebook
: search for a number in Phonebook during a
call.
For details about using the Phonebook application, see
page 137.
Send message
: allows you to send an SMS (Short
Message Service) message during a call.
For details about using the Messaging application, see
page 108.
Send DTMF
: allows you to send the DTMF tones by
pressing the
Send DTMF
soft button after entering the
entire number you need to send. This option is helpful
for entering a password or an account number when you
call an automated system, like a banking service.
