Setting Preferences
Preferences enable you to customise the configuration
options on your PDA phone. Use the Preferences to do
the following:
•
Display
: Set up the Phone’s idle screen, the backlight,
and the service light.
•
Sound
: Adjust the volume level, select a sound type, and
select alert tone features.
•
Call Setting
: Configure the options for dialling or
receiving calls.
•
Security
: Prevent unauthorised users from viewing
entries that you want to protect and lock your PDA phone.
You can also restrict the use of your PDA phone by other
people and the types of calls made; for details about
using this feature, see page 252.
•
Network SVC
: Use network services, such as call
forwarding, call waiting, call barring, and network and
line selection.
•
Connectivity
: Configure your PDA phone for use with a
network. Select your network service provider and enter
your account information. You can also configure your
PDA phone for connection to a computer or modem.
•
General
: Set general configuration options. You can set
up application buttons, date and time, formats, Graffiti 2,
shortcuts, and so on.
To open preferences:
On the Application Launcher, tap the
Prefs
icon (
).
