Using Messaging

To restore your message data form an expansion card:

1. Turn off your phone by press and hold the

key.

2. From the startup screen of the Messaging application,

tap the Menu icon (

) to open the drop-down menu

list.

3. Tap

Backup

and then

E.Card Restore

Note:

If you do not turn off your phone before performing this

backup operation, you will see the message asking to turn

off your phone.

4. Tap

Yes

to confirm the restore operation. The restore

operation will start.

If the restore operation is completed, you will see the
message that this operation is completed and you may
turn on your phone.

To back up your message data to your PC:

1. From the startup screen of the Messaging application,

tap the Menu icon (

) to open the drop-down menu

list.

2. Tap

Backup

and then

Hot Sync Backup

3. Tap

Backup

button to start the backup setup operation.

4. Select the

HotSync

menu form the application launcher

to perform HotSync backup operation.

To restore your message data form your PC:

You can perform this operation on your PC, HotSync
application. For more information about this, see page 216.
