ff er, you should download some apps right away!
Managing apps
After downloading some apps, the chances are
that they will re
q uire an update at some point.
M ost apps automatically update themselves,
if the setting is enabled, but the rest can be
manually updated by going in to the
M y Apps
section of the P lay store (hit the M enu key for a
q uick shortcut). On the other hand, you might
want to permanently delete an app from your
device. In this case, simply go to its corresponding page on the
Google
P lay store and select the Uninstall option. It’s as easy as that.
Apps and games
The selection of apps on o ff er covers 2 7 di ff erent categories, so
there’s always something for everyone. Within each category of
the
P lay store you can find the most downloaded apps within that
section, as well as the highest rated ones. One particular area in
which Android apps have vastly improved over the past year or so is
in the
q uality of games that they now o ff er.
M any big brands have made the transition over to the smaller
Android screen, with the likes of The Simpsons , Sonic The Hedgehog
and Mass Effect to name but a few. There are also plenty of indie
games that are Android exclusives and provide something q uirky,
original and compelling that you may not have experienced before.
With so many games on o
ff er, the downside is that they can take
up lots of internal storage space on your device, so be careful not
to download too many of them or you’ll soon realise that you have
precious little space for anything else.

Refund an app
2 Purchase and download Tap
the price, enter your payment
details and download the app.
3 Trial period Y ou now have 15
minutes to decide whether or
not you want to keep the app.
4 Refund If you don’t, go back to
the app’s page and then press
the ‘Refund’ button.
