Managing RMON Events
Remote Monitoring (RMON) events define behavior profiles used in event logging. These profiles are used by
RMON alarms to send traps and log events.
Each alarm may specify that a log entry be created on its behalf whenever the event occurs. Each entry may
also specify that a notification should occur by way of SNMP trap messages. In this case, the user for the trap
message is specified as the
Community
.
Two traps are defined: risingAlarm and fallingAlarm.

Section 3.11.3.1
Viewing a List of RMON Events
To view a list of RMON events, navigate to
Ethernet Stats > Configure RMON Events
. The
RMON Events
table
appears.

If events have not been configured, add events as needed. For more information, refer to
Section 3.11.3.2
Adding an RMON Event
To add an RMON alarm, do the following:
1. Navigate to
Ethernet Stats > Configure RMON Events
