You have completed mounting the CMAP on the cable strand. Continue with

Grounding the CMAP
The CMAP must be grounded (either directly or through the cable strand mount) according
to Local Electric Code or National Electric Code. If the cable strand mount is already
grounded, grounding the CMAP is optional. If the cable strand is not grounded, you must
ground the CMAP by following the instructions below.
You need to supply the following:

One 6.4mm ground lug
■
One 14 AWG (5.5mm
2
) or larger earth ground wire
■
Ground lug crimping tool
To earth ground the CMAP
1.
If the earth ground wire is insulated, strip the insulation as required for the ground lug.
2.
Use the ground lug crimping tool to crimp the earth ground wire to the ground lug.
