3. Locate the row for the Watermark Encoder channel you wish to configure.

6. Type your CBET CSID value into the CBET CSID cell. Leave this field blank if you have not been assigned a
CSID by Nielsen.
7. In the CBET Check Code cell, enter the Critical Band Encoding Technology (CBET) Source Identification
code you obtained from Nielsen Encoder Support. The CSID is supplied with check characters (different from
the SID code) to ensure that it is entered correctly into the NWE-IP. Note that this field:
• is case sensitive and the check characters must be entered in upper case with no spaces between the CSID
and check code.
• can be left blank if no CBET encoding is performed for the encoder channel.
8. Specify how to resolve conflicts between data already present in the incoming signal, and data to be added by
the NWE-IP by selecting an option in the CBET Level Overflow and NAES Level Overflow areas. This
affects NAES 2 code production only. The NAES SID and CBET CSID can be configured independently. For
each data type, choose from the following overflow methods:
•
Refrain — Select this option to not encode the NWE-IP data and only transmit the incoming data.
• Overwrite — Select this option to encode the NWE-IP data regardless of the presence of incoming data.
9. Select the Enable box for the Watermark Output channel.
