The GalaxyDICOM installation and Verification is now complete, refer to the Getting Started Guide to complete the
setup of the GalaxyDICOM Appliance.
OPTIONAL: Creating a Linux machine to push images to the
GalaxyDICOM for testing purposes.
Install the following utility for testing or training purposes. This utility will allow pushing images to the
GalaxyDICOM Appliance when no modality is available (Access to the internet is required to download dcmtk).
Run the
apt-get install dcmtk
command to install the utility on the Linux machine that will be used to push the
images to the GalaxyDICOM Appliance. Then run the commands below:

Check the directories on the GalaxyDICOM before beginning the test:

From the Linux machine that the “dcmtk” utility was installed on begin the test using the
following command:
storescu -aec SNTRYDICOM XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX 11112 [PATH TO A DICOM IMAGES]
Note:
Replace x’s with the IP assigned to the GalaxyDICOM
**The test image files have been provided on a DVD.

From the GalaxyDICOM, check directory immediately after test (note: the year/month/day
directories below will be different):

The images can be checked in two ways from the CLI; as shown below or from the Web
Interface using the Study Management window.
