Configuring Email Notification 

System Administrators can receive email notification about abnormal events in the 
GalaxyDICOM  Appliance. Abnormal events for example are; drive/jukebox failures, 
unrecoverable write errors, RAID failures, requests for additional medium (no more space in 
the Integral Volume set), requests for media that are currently offline, etc. 

 

 

Select Contacts from the 
menu to edit Site 
Information and Email 
Configuration. 
 
To set up the 
GalaxyDICOM to send an 
email  notification when 
there is a problem, select 
Contacts from the menu. 
 
Fill in the Site 
Information section and 
select the Save button. 
 
Fill in the Email 
Configuration section to 
include the email 
accounts of the individual 
Recipients that should 
receive 

a notification 

when an instance occurs 
on the Galaxy that 
requires attention. 
 
Select the Save button. 
 
A test of the 
configuration can be 
performed by selecting 
the Send Test Email 
button.  Each Recipient 
listed should receive the 
test message.
