When Problems Such As Dot Drop-out are Not Cleared Up
When flaws in the dot pattern such as dot drop-out are not cleared up even after performing cleaning using the
cleaning function (normal, medium, or powerful) or manual cleaning, perform the operation described below.
Procedure

Discard the discharged fluid in the drain bottle.
By referring to
P. 64, "Disposing of Discharged Fluid",
dispose of the discharged fluid. Start from step


CAUTION
Be sure to discard the discharged fluid at this step.
A large amount of ink will be discharged during this operation. Be sure to discard
the discharged fluid at this step. If you do not discard the discharged fluid at
this step, the discharged fluid might overflows from the drain bottle during the
subsequent process.

Press .

Press several times until the screen shown on
the left appears.
Press .
Press twice.

Press .
Press several times until the screen shown on
the left appears.

Press .

Check that the drain bottle is empty and press .
The screen shown in the figure appears.
When it finishes, the screen shown in the figure appears again.

Press in this order to go back to the original screen.
A large amount of ink will be discharged during this operation. Perform this operation only when dot
drop-out cannot be cleared up even after performing cleaning using the cleaning function (normal,
medium, or powerful) or manual cleaning.

