Chapter 4
Description of Operation
Emergency Release
Permits opening of a locked safety guard from outside the danger area without
tools.
To actuate the emergency release, press the rotary knob down and turn it
clockwise by 90° until the snap-in bolt latches in the hole of the flange. When
the emergency release is in the latched position, guard locking is released.
To reset the emergency release, push the snap-in bolt inward using a small
screwdriver or similar tool and simultaneously turn the rotary knob
counterclockwise into the unlatched position. The emergency unlocking can
be sealed in the unlatched position using the seal kit provided.
