Function of the Switches
Changing System Operation
(configuring device for standalone or series operation)
1. Switch off power supply.
2. Set DIP switches 1, 2 and 5 as shown.
3. Switch on the power supply for at least five seconds.
• The change is confirmed by the illumination of the Power status
indicator. All other status indicators are off.
4. Switch off power supply.
5. Set DIP switch five to OFF.
• The next time the device is started, the new setting will be activated.

On: Guard lock monitoring is deactivated
Off: Guard lock monitoring is activated (factory setting)

On: DIP switch configuration enabled
Off: DIP switch configuration inhibited (factory setting)

6
On: Release monitoring is activated (factory setting)
Off: Release monitoring is deactivated

The terminal assignment also changes on changing the configuration (see
