31.6 Installing the DVI/VGA capture card
To install the DVI/VGA capture card:
1.
Disconnect the fixture from power.
2.
Remove both top covers of the fixture base by
unscrewing 14 fastening screws.
3.
Remove the shield cover (1)
by loosening three crews (2).
4.
Disconnect data cables from the video capture card, take the card
out of PCI slot and remove the S-video/Composite connectors
holder (3) by unscrewing the two screws M3x10 (4).
Note:
in the case that this connectors holder will be installed back
on the rear panel, it is very important to keep the following order
of the insulating and metal washers:
1. Insulating plastic washers (5)
2. S-video/Composite connectors holder (3)
3. Insulating plastic washers (6)
4. Metal washers (7)
5. M3 nuts (8)
Warning:
The S-video/Composite connectors holder has to be
electrically insulated from the rear panel otherwise the capture
card can be damaged.
Check proper placing of the insulating washers.
5.
Screw the DVI/VGAI connectors holder (9) on the rear panel with
two screws M3x10 (4).
6.
Remove the capture card from its packaging and gently press it
down into the PCI slot.
Secure the bracket of the card to the chassis by means of the M3
screw.
7.
Connect a VGA and DVI cable to the capture card.
8.
Remove the original supporting spacer holder (10) from the shield
cover (1) by unscrewing two M3x8 screws and screw the new one
(11).
9.
Place back and fasten the shield cover and top covers .
10.
After switching the fixture on, the new capture card should be ready
for operation.
