Boiler start-up (fig. J)
fig. J
A - green led
boiler status
B - red led failure
in progress
If a programmable timer or a thermostat are installed, these must be
in the “On” position and adjusted to a temperature higher than that of
the environment so that the boiler starts.
The boiler will be in standby until the burner switches on following a
heat request. The green LED (A), on the left side of the control panel,
turns green to indicate the presence of a flame.
The boiler will be in function until the selected temperature is reached,
afterwards it will be in “standby” again keeping the outlet temperature
displayed.
If faults arise in ignition or operations, the boiler performs a “SAFETY
STOP”: on the control panel the green led will go out, the display will
show a flashing fault code and, in the event of a lockout also the red
led (B) will come on.
To identify the fault codes and to reset the boiler, see the chapter
“Light signals and faults”.
Reset function (fig. K)
fig. K
To reset the operation, rotate the mode selector to
then return it to
the desired position, ensuring that the red pilot light is not lit.
At this point the boiler, if the correct operating conditions are restored,
restarts automatically; when the burner ignites, the green LED lights
up and the display indicates the current operating temperature.
The mere rotation of the selector to position
does not cause
the reset of the boiler.
If the reset attempts do not activate the operation, contact the local
Assistance Centre.
In normal conditions, when the mode selector is positioned to
, the
digital display shows "- -" (fig. L) unless the antifreeze phase (AF)
is in progress or the combustion analysis function is enabled (CO).

Temporary switch-off
In the event of temporary absences (weekends, short trips, etc.) set
the mode selector to "
" (off/reset) (fig. M).
The digital display is as shown opposite ("- -") (fig. N).

While the electrical supply and the fuel supply remain active, the boil-
er is protected by the systems:
Antifreeze
- heating: the function is activated if the temperature measured by
the outlet probe drops below 6° C. A heat request is generated in
this phase with the ignition of the burner at minimum output, which
is maintained until the water temperature reaches 35° C;
- domestic hot water: the function is activated if the temperature
measured by the domestic water probe drops below 4° C. A heat
request is generated in this phase with the ignition of the burner at
minimum output, which is maintained until the water temperature
reaches 55° C.
During the anti-freeze phase the blinking letters AF are shown on the
display (fig. O).

Circulator anti-blocking
- The circulator activates every 24 hours of stop for 30 seconds.

Switching off for lengthy periods
If the boiler is not used for a long time, the following operations must
be carried out:
- position the mode selector to
(off/reset) (fig. P)
- set the system's main switch to "off" (fig. Q)
