Communication error – FCI I2C
ƒ Engine board defective
The engine board detected an unknown
device on the I2C I/F bus (internal bus on
the engine control board).
The engine board detected an I2C I/F bus
error.
The number of devices connected to the
I2C bus exceeded 12.

Engine startup error
The BCU failed to respond with the
prescribed time when the machine
was turned on.
ƒ Connections between BCU and
controller board are loose,
disconnected, or damaged
ƒ Replace the BCU
ƒ Replace the controller board

Engine board and controller
mismatch detected.
ƒ Wrong engine board installed.
ƒ Wrong controller board
installed.
ƒ Check the type of engine board
and controller board.
1. Replace the engine board.
2. Replace the controller board.
818 System timeout error
