White line is normally used to provide better
separation of bottom and fish schools near the

bottom. In addition, the White line can be helpful

determining bottom conditions. A line line at
the top edge of the bottom echo usually indicates

hard bottom conditions such as sand or rock. A
wider line may indicate softer bottom conditions

Generally the color echo sounder display provides good definition and
separation simply due to the color differentials. However in some condi-
tions, the use of White Line

some additional important infor-
mation useful in your fishing plan. When

color is replaced by the background blue color.
