BOUNDARY
Alarm
This is a very special type of alarm and is useful when there is an area that
you need to avoid. A typical use would be to mark an area bounded by
shoals or rocks. The
BOUNDARY
alarm distance then becomes the safety
margin that you want to maintain from the hazardous area.
The
BOUNDARY
alarm feature can be
put into use when you enter the posi-
tion co-ordinates of each end point of
a line that bisects the hazard area as
waypoints into the
ries. Now we can use one of the avail-
able Route Plan memories to hold the
two points.

To set a boundary alarm, the user should be familiar with entering
points and making a route plan. Although the specific instructions are given
below for accomplishing the task of making a Boundary alarm, it is recom-
mended that sections involving
entry and Route plans be re-
viewed, ifnecessary.
