4.2 Downloading data by wireless (base station/
laptop)
Remote Data Download Option
Laptop, Netbook
1.
Connect the UHF antenna to your base station and plug the base station into your
PC. Open the user software on your computer and it will automatically direct you
to the
Connect to collar
window.

In the manual address entry text box enter the unit’s address. You then have two
options for downloading your data:
•
Fast download:
Using the
Fast download
button will connect to the
collar, download the data, and disconnect from the collar with the
press of one button. This option will download only the data that has
been acquired since your last download. If you have yet to download
the data using the current PC it will download all of the data.
•
Connect:
When you use the connect button you gain access to the
entirety of Collar SW. You may download data or change the
programming.

Click on the button to select the download method of your choosing. If you chose
the
Fast download
skip to #8 below.

Navigate to the data page.

Click the download data button. A new text box will appear, click start.

The data will download. When finished click close.
7.
In the black horizontal bar toward the bottom of the screen click disconnect. This
is very important. Failure to do so will drain more battery than necessary.

The data is viewable by clicking on the downloaded file in the list in the top half
of the data page. The data opens in notepad.

4.3 Downloading activity data
Activity Sensor Option
Motion Software
You cannot download your activity data in the Collar SW program. The activity data is
only accessible by using the motion user software. It is also not possible to download
activity data remotely. The activity sensor is very powerful and records a lot of data
quickly. Downloading the data remotely will quickly drain your GPS battery and
therefore this feature is not available.
