If the wheelchair does not disengage from the Docking
System immediately after Locking Pawl opens, the Locking
Pawl will lock up again after 10 seconds (
N
). If this happens
repeat step 12.
The wheelchair occupant
MUST
leave for the actual
installation as per workshop safety standards—but the
wheelchair
MUST
remain in order to test the Docking
System after the installation is completed.
TEMPORARILY CONNECT POWER WIRES
13. Disconnect main power source.
Make sure there are no open electrical connections.
14.
Remove all necessary vehicle panels according to
manufacturer instructions.
15. Temporarily connect the 3 Pin Wire Harness, Power (red),
Ground (black) and Ignition (white) Wires to main power (P)
by connecting the red wire to a constant 12V source through
the supplied 20-amp fuse (or SAE approved equivalent).
16.
Connect the white wire to an ignition activated 12V source
through the supplied 10-amp fuse (or SAE approved
equivalent).
17.
Connect the black wire to the chassis ground.
All ground locations
MUST
be free of paint, corrosion and
moisture with less than .1-ohm resistance to the negative
terminal of the vehicle battery. Contact the vehicle OEM
or Van Conversion Company if you have difficulty locating
proper power and grounding sources.
Test System Operation before Installation

Temporarily connect the Docking Base Wire Harness and the
3 Pin Wire Harness to the Electronic Control Module (ECM)

Control Module (ECM) (
