Installation Requirements (Continued)
4. all existing distribution pipe and fitting limitations must be
observed and followed. Each flex distribution hose used is
to be considered as 300 ml when calculating the milliliters
per system.
5. all hose-to-pipe connection fittings are to be oriented in a
vertical down position.
6. The hose connections must be positioned below an eleva-
tion where the hose could be exposed to the radiant or
convected heat generated by normal cooking operations
(such as the horizontal plane of appliance’s cooking
surface), or to heat from appliance exhaust. as a minimum
height, the hose connection shall be no lower than 30 in.
(762 mm) from the floor. The distribution piping shall be
supported and secured per local plumbing practices.
7. Hose ends are to be offset 6-8 in. (152-203 mm) center
to center of fittings (see Figure 4-26) to maximize hose
life expectancy and facilitate appliance movement. With
the appliance in its normal operating position, check the
hose bend to make certain the bend is not less than a 3 in.
