13 Optional accessories
13.1 General safety information
•
Keep this Installation and Operating Manual adjacent to the cable / pipe bulkhead for each
product.
•
Affix any legally prescribed safety information at a location where it is conspicuous to users.
•
Strictly observe:
- All relevant VDE regulations
- Fire authority regulations
- General planning and building laws and regulations
- Accident prevention and workplace regulations
- Any instructions given by the technical supervisory service
•
Pay attention to DIN 4102 regarding the assessment of fire protection and structural aspects.
•
Work on electrical systems must be carried out with the power disconnected and performed by
electricians.
•
Never use a product that is not in perfect condition.
•
Ensure that all required safety audits are carried out by an authorised expert.
•
Damage or malfunctions due to incorrect transport or installation can only be reliably avoided
if these activities are carried out by persons trained and authorised by us.
•
Heed the technical information given in our catalogue and data sheet regarding the product
concerned.
•
Note that “hot spots” may form depending on the position of the fitted components. These
components should therefore be distributed as evenly as possible. Check this if necessary by
taking measurements inside the cabinet.
•
Unauthorised persons must be denied access to the cable / pipe bulkhead.
•
Incorrect installation could impair the protective function.
•
Observe all information contained in this Installation and Operating Manual.
•
Use only suitable, approved screws / dowels to fasten the cabinet to the building or structure.
•
Make sure all screws / dowels are suitable for your particular building / structure.
•
The doubler plates of the cable / pipe bulkhead must not be glued, painted or otherwise
coated.
•
There is not enough space in this manual to list every relevant regulation or directive. Please
therefore make sure your installation is in conformity with all applicable regulations.
13.2 Intended use
