PRONAR T185/1
Technical service
• Clean the actuator, defrost if ne-
cessary and remove water through
the vent holes. If damage is found,
replace the actuator with a new one.
When mounting the actuator, keep
its original position relative to the
bracket (7).
• Turn the adjusting screw (4) so that
the marked hole of the spreader lever
matches the hole of the cylinder fork.
During adjustment, the
diaphragm (2) must rest on the
rear wall of the actuator.
• Mount the pin of the fork yoke, wa-
shers and secure the pin with cotter
pins.
• Turn the adjusting screw (4) cloc-
kwise to make one or two clicks in the
adjuster mechanism of the expander
lever.
• Repeat the adjustment on the other
cylinders.
• Apply the brake.
• Wipe the previous marks, and me-
asure the piston rod stroke again.
• If the piston rod stroke is not within
the correct working range, repeat the
adjustment.
OPERATION CHECK
• Carry out a test drive after the
adjustment.
• Perform several brakes. Stop the
trailer and check the temperature of
the brake drums.
• If any drum is too hot, adjust the brake
and re-adjust, conduct a test drive.
