Parts to be lubricated with machine oil should be wiped with dry clean cloth and then a small
quantity of oil should be applied to their surfaces (using oil can or brush). Wipe off excess oil.
Change of grease in hub bearings should be entrusted to specialised service points,
equipped with the appropriate tools. According to the recommendations of the axle
Manufacturer, dismantle the entire hub, remove the bearing and individual sealing rings. After
careful washing and inspection, mount lubricated elements. If necessary, bearing and seals
should be replaced with new parts. Lubrication of axle bearings shall be performed at least
once in 2 years or every 50,000 km. In the event of intensive use, lubrication should be
performed more frequently.
Empty grease or oil containers should be disposed of according to the recommendations of
the lubricant Manufacturer.
During trailer operation, the user is obliged to observe lubrication instructions according
to attached lubrication schedule.
5.8
CONSUMABLES
5.8.1 HYDRAULIC OIL
Always adhere to the principle that the oil in the trailer hydraulic system and in the tractor
hydraulic system are of the same type. In the event of application of different types of oil
make certain that both hydraulic substances may be mixed together. Application of different
oil types may cause damage to trailer or tractor. In a new machine, the hydraulic system is
filled with L HL32 Lotos hydraulic oil.
If it is necessary to change hydraulic oil for another oil, check the recommendations of the oil
Manufacturer very carefully. If it is recommended to flush the system with the appropriate
preparation, then comply with these recommendations. Attention should be given, so that
chemical substances used for this purpose do not damage the materials of the hydraulic
system. During normal trailer use change of hydraulic oil is not necessary, but if required, this
operation should be entrusted to a specialist service point.
