Troubleshooting
This chapter provides you a few useful tips to quickly get your ROBO-8716VG2A
running with no failure. As basic hardware installation has been addressed in
Chapter 3, this chapter will basically focus on system integration issues, in terms of
backplane setup, BIOS setting, and OS diagnostics.
5.1
Quick installation Guide
Backplane
ROBO-8716VG2A is a full-sized Single Board Computer, and therefore is only able to
run on
PICMG 1.2, 64 bit PCI-X architecture, which runs at speeds up to 66 MHz.
Therefore,
ROBO-8716VG2A
is only able to run on PICMG 1.2 64 bit PCI/PCI-X
Backplane,
as below picture. (Figure 5-1)
To know whether your Backplane is PICMG PCI/ISA Backplane, please contact with
vendor or manufacturer.
