11. Setting up and customising the 2-in-1 laptop
The settings offer countless possibilities to personalise and adapt your
2-in-1 laptop to your needs in terms of visuals and functions.
Windows Settings
To change and customise settings, access Windows Settings through
, the Action Centre or the
| F10 button. In the menu overview,
select the type of settings you want to change or display. You can also
specify the settings to be changed in the "Settings Search" field at the
top centre of the screen. A pop-up window will allow you to choose
from among suitable suggestions.
"Personalization"
You can adjust primarily visual aspects using the "Background",
"Colours" and "Themes" options. You can customise functional
aspects such as various display options, Cortana settings and power
options via the "Lock screen", "Start" and "Taskbar" options.
"Accounts"
The "Your info" option lets you personalise your accounts with a photo,
for example.
You can set up Windows Hello, assign a password or a PIN, and so on
through "Sign-in options".
The "Sync your settings" option allows you to synchronise the settings
you make on your 2-in-1 laptop, from the theme to browser settings,
passwords and language settings as well as some device settings
("Other Windows settings", for example, for a mouse device or printer),
and transfer these settings to other Windows devices in this way.
