Stylus tip
The pressure-sensitive pen tip is used to write and draw on the display.
Touch the display with the tip of the stylus.
The display automatically detects the stylus.
i
Notice
You can control the width of the stroke through the application of pressure
on the display. You can create thicker strokes by applying greater
pressure on the display with the stylus.
While you are working on the display with the stylus, the display
ignores the movements of your hand, ensuring a clean input.
Function key
The function button provides access to the context menus in the apps
that support Windows Ink. Hold down the button and touch the screen
with the pen tip. Then release the button and lift the pen tip from the
display. The context menu is now open.
i
Notice
Another way to access the context menu is by simply keeping the
stylus tip pressed on the display. As soon as you see a small circle
around the stylus tip, you can lift the stylus tip. The context menu is
now open.
You can also use this button to highlight texts: Hold down the button
and move with the pen tip over the text passages you want to highlight.
i
Notice
For apps that do not support Windows Ink, the pre-assigned functions
of the function button may vary.
